About OKYNA

As far as I can remember, my interest in rocks began at the beach in New Brunswick during our annual family trip. I would spend my time collecting pretty rocks, looking for ones that had interesting textures, shapes or colors.

My love for rocks evolved when my mother gave me a box of small semi-precious stones, I particularly liked amethyst and was fascinated by the colors of these stones. I still have them to this day.

I succumbed to this passion a long time later after having done diplomas in computer graphics and fashion design, as well as a bachelor's degree in management and fashion design, I finally started jewelry classes recently, it was love at first sight.

I take my inspiration from the natural beauties of life, ephemeral and fragile, like everything that is unique and inspiring such as the stars, the elements and botanic. I am also greatly inspired by the aesthetics of witchcraft, duality and fantasy, always in close connection with nature.

I have also always been fascinated by the moon and the stars, the name Okyna comes from the Japanese name of a sub-satellite of the moon which was designed to avoid cuts in communication with Earth when the main probe flies over the far side.

Okyna aims to be a guarantee of quality while maintaining an ecologically responsible ideology. The stones are natural and semi-precious. The durable quality metals are made of stainless steel and silver. These are products for both men and women made in Quebec.
